Manual QA Engineer

Remote, 4+ years

We are looking for a Manual QA Engineer with 4 years of experience and conversational English to enhance the quality of the American social network, which aims to create communities based on shared interests and hobbies in sports.

The project: This is a fitness social network that helps people more easily find new friends and like-minded individuals through sports and joint activities, overcoming language and cultural barriers.

The application allows users to create their own groups and organize meetups, join sports events, arrange insurance, process payments, and much more. The platform is not limited to specific activities – users can engage in anything: running, cycling, yoga, sound healing, or any other health practices.

The project has been active for over 3 years and has already been released in app stores. Currently, the application has 200,000 unique users, and this number continues to grow.

Tech Stack: TypeScript, React Native, SocketIO, GetStream, React, Redux Toolkit, NextJS, PostgreSQL, Express, TypeORM, BullJS, MaterialUI, twilio auth, i18n, AWS CDK.


Development methodology: Agile - Scrum & Kanban

Team: 4 React Native developers, 4 Fullstack developers, Manual QA engineer and Tech Lead.
There is also interaction with the Founder, Co-founder, Product manager, Product designer, 2 Fullstack developers, 1 React Native developer and Manual QA engineer on the client’s side.

Responsibilities:

  • Manual testing of mobile and web applications
  • Creation and maintenance of testing artifacts (test plans, checklists, test cases)
  • Analysis of requirements for new functionality and discussions with the team
  • Active communication with the team and the client

We find important:

  • 4+ years of commercial experience in manual testing
  • Experience in testing web and mobile applications
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Knowledge of fundamental testing theory and key approaches
  • Skills in writing test documentation
  • Experience with Bug Tracking Systems (Jira, Asana)
  • English at Upper-Intermediate level or higher

Will be a plus:

  • Experience with automation (E2E testing)
  • Experience with Playwright
