We are looking for a Manual QA Engineer with 4 years of commercial experience and conversational English to enhance the quality of the American social network which brings together sports enthusiasts.
The project: An American social network aimed at building communities around shared sports interests and hobbies (crossfit, yoga, running, workout, etc.). It helps people find new friends and like‑minded individuals in a new country through joint activities, overcoming language and cultural barriers.
In addition to contact matching and event management, the functionality includes:
— Hosting meetings with the further ability to share feedback, comment on others' posts and access event media files
— Text and media posting, featuring a recommendation system driven by promotion algorithms
— In-app messenger
— Payment processing and insurance management.
The project has been active for over 4 years and has successfully launched on the app stores. Within the first week after release, we gained 2k registered users. There are currently over 200k active users, and this number continues to grow.
Tech stack: React, Redux (toolkit + rtk query), Nest.js, Next.js, Express, PostgreSQL, TypeORM, Redis, AWS CDK, TypeScript, React Native. Also used: Twillio, MUI, SocketIO, Get Stream.
Team: Tech Lead, 5 Fullstack developers, 3 React Native developers and 2 Manual QAs. There is also interaction with the Founder, Co-founder, 2 Product managers, Product designer, 2 Fullstack developers, 2 React Native developers and a Manual QA on the client’s side.
Development methodology: Agile (Kanban with elements of Scrum). Releases every 2–3 weeks. Possible communication with the client from 4 to 8 pm (UTC+2).
