We are looking for a Middle DevOps Engineer willing to contribute to the development of a telecom infrastructure platform for automating engineering processes. This position requires 4+ years of commercial experience and Upper-Intermediate proficiency in spoken English.
Project: A platform for companies involved in the construction and maintenance of communication towers, small cells, and fiber-optic networks in the United States. The system automates the preparation of technical drawings, structural analysis, data verification, and quality control of engineering documentation required before installing new equipment on communication towers.
The product is developing AI agents for data validation and structural analysis, as well as an API platform for synchronizing client data with SharePoint, SQL, and Salesforce. It is among the top 10 tower companies in the U.S., with over 75,000 AI-managed towers, over 150,000 lease agreements, and over 100,000 QC documents.
Tech stack: TypeScript, React, Python, gRPC, AWS (ECS, ALB, SQS, RDS, S3, Lambda, EC2, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Budgets), GCP (agent layer), Terraform, GitHub Actions, Grafana, AI (LangChain, Bedrock).
Team: DevOps Engineer, JS Developer and 2 QA Engineers on our side, along with client-side specialists, including VP of Engineering, Head of Engineering, Tech Lead, Integration Lead, department leads and in-house developers.
Meetings: An all-hands meeting with the entire team every Monday; 1–2 meetings per week with the Head of Engineering; several times a week — 20-minute daily stand-ups. Most communication takes place via Slack.
Main responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop the AWS infrastructure for the production, staging, and development environments
- Maintain and expand the Terraform code
- Develop CI/CD on GitHub Actions and help the team transition from biweekly releases to continuous deployment
- Monitor, notify, and respond to incidents during evening hours
- Handle infrastructure requests from client teams: tickets, cron jobs, retention, and access management
- Document infrastructure changes
Key requirements:
- 4+ years of commercial DevOps experience
- 2+ years of experience with AWS in a production environment
- Hands-on experience with ECS, Load Balancer, RDS, S3, Lambda, SQS, EC2, CloudWatch, VPC (peering), and IAM
- Proficiency with Terraform
- Expertise in configuring CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
- Scripting with Bash and/or Python
- Experience with monitoring using Grafana and CloudWatch
- Experience with containerization using Docker and ECS
- Regular use of AI tools in day-to-day work
- Spoken English at the Upper-Intermediate level or higher
- Availability to work until 8:00–9:00 PM Kyiv time to collaborate with US-based team members
Nice to have:
- Experience with GCP
- Experience with Terragrunt
- Familiarity with AI infrastructure, including AWS Bedrock, LangChain, or deploying custom LLMs
- Windows Server administration skills on EC2, including working with AMIs and launch templates
- Knowledge of CloudFormation
- Experience writing scripts with TypeScript
